Attempt at Chinese calligraphy
I was recently reminded of how my handwritings were hugely illegible.

For reasons I can't explain, I've developed an urge to scribble Chinese characters lately. The fact that I acquired a fountain pen might have something to do with it.
I don't do it as a tool of thought or communication. If it's a mean to an end, I don't know what that is. Maybe it's the closest skill I have that's remoting close to any form of drawing.
I kinda do have the taste to tell what's good in calligraphy. So once I start it's kinda hard to stop, especially when the outcome is bad.

I don't prefer handwritings that are neat and tidy, even if the skills that's needed is admirable. I've always prefer writings that have a sense of personal aesthetics, to which an institution like a school would find it hard to agree with, not when it came from a ten year-old kid who knew fuck all.
That's my leaning towards chaos. But chaos needs order to harmonize. The practice of calligraphy seems to be about that: a tug of war between the proper way and letting it go wild, all within the space of a few strokes.
Let's see if I can outdo this recent result in a month.
