What Interest Me This Week

Risk-management is everything

I've been dipping my toes in making-market, I'm now knee-deep. I'm hoping to get out from staging to production in a week time.

I don't mind the small beta money, this is about playing not to lose.

Take care of downsides, the upsides take care of themselves. In doing that, it's fascinating that most of the business and parameters goes to taking care of eventual price crash.

Learn to enjoy managing properties?

I have a tainted history with property investment. The fact that it's that mainstream an investment vehicle on a retail level should have warned me, but I didn't know what I know now.

Finance aside, the most painful part about property is management. Humans and atoms tend not to be my strong suit. I just never enjoyed the process of managing properties.

I wonder if I'm thinking it wrong. What if there's a way to trick the mind into sensing hope and flow in the chore?

Maybe I've forgotten there's a light at the end of this tunnel. Maybe I've never considered exploring philosophical insights behind this endeavor.
